Overview

History

Osaka Kyoiku University, which can trace its roots back to a training institution for teachers established in 1874, is an education-focused university that boasts a size and history befitting its position as a preeminent Japanese university. The main campus is located in the lush green Osaka suburb of Kashiwara, while its branch campus is located in the City of Osaka, an international commercial center. Established in 2007, the Center for Science Education functions as an organization aimed at connecting university research with school and community science programs.

Organization and Staff

Core Members

The core members of the Center for Science Education are constructed by Director and some professors. They oversee theplanning and management of several activities including the limited-term projects related to science education that receive funding from theMinistry of Educatnion, Cultureļ¼ŒSports, Science and Technology (MEXT) or the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

Supporting Members

The supporting members of the Center for Science Education are constructed by about 40 professors in Osaka Kyoiku University who engaged in a wide range of scientific fields. They support various activities in related to their own fields.
